Executrix
This is the Last Will and Testament of me John
Powditch of Wells next the Sea in the County of Norfolk Shipowner
First I give and divise and by virtue and in exercise and execution of the
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf appoint All
those my Freehold and Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments
and premises situate at Wells next the Sea aforesaid or elsewhere unto and
to the use of my dear Wife Susan Powditch and to her Heirs and Assigns
for ever absolutely  I direct all my [just] debts funeral and Testamentary
Expenses to be paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my
decease out of my personal Estate And subject thereto I give and bequeath all
my moneys and securities for money money in the Funds Household Farmho[use]
Stock in Trade ships and share of ships Plate Linen China Glass -----------------
Earthenware and all other my personal Esate and Effects whatsoever and
wheresoever unto my said dear Wife Susan Powditch to and for her own
use and benefit absolutely And lastly I hereby revoke and make and ......
all my former Wills and other Testamentary Dispositions whatsoever
and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament of which I
do appoint my said dear Wife Susan Powditch sole Executrix In
Witness whereof I the said John Powditch the Testator have to this my
last Will and Testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal the
twenty fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and sixty three

for his last Will and Testament in the joint presence of us [who] in his
presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed
our names as witnesses thereto the same having been first read over to

Oath of Susan Powditch, Widow, the relict the



the sole Executrix, to whom administration was
granted
The Testator John Powditch was formerly of Wells next the Sea in the
County of Norfolk and late of Great Yarmouth in the said County
Shipowner and died on the twenty seventh day of March 1867 at Gr[eat]
Yarmouth aforesaid
