"At court in the morn. Arrived from London the
merchant ship Adrian, Capt. Alex Gordon having on
board His Honor Colonel Arthur, his lady and family:-
viz, Master Frederic and Charles Arthur, Misses
Henrietta, Catherine and Eliza Arthur and Mr. Charles
Arthur, Capt. Montague, 40 Regt. and Mrs Montague
Capt. & Mrs Powditch, he commanded Royal George
which ship E. Lord Esqr. ent to England in. Lt. Govnr.
and Mrs Sorell this day left the Govmt. House and
went to live at E. Lord where Dr. Hood resided.
Colonel Arthur etc. landed in a private manner from
the ship Adrian and took possession of the Govmy.
House. E. Mack and Mrs McAuley came from her
farm".
