Unconfirmed connections to the Powditch surname
The following table has been created from information extracted from
www.macdonald50.freeserve.co.uk  which shows the Powditch surname appearing as a
'second-name' of Lt. Col. Angus Powditch MacDonald, (Generation Number 12 of the
below-mentioned family).

Lt. Col. Angus Powditch MacDonald had two sons, Ranald Gedye MacDonald and
Douglas Banfield MacDonald, who were born around the 1920s.  If anyone knows of the
whereabouts of either of the latter, I would be very pleased to receive a contact address,
telephone number or e-mail address, as it is a complete mystery at the moment, why, or how,
their father had Powditch as his middle-name. (N.B. Recent information suggested that
Ranald Gedye MacDonald may have been living some time ago in South Africa, whilst
Douglas Banfield MacDonald had, some years ago, been a Missionary in Zaire.  To
date however, I haven't had any success in tracing either of the brothers

Strays...Do you know who they are?
Unfortunately, however much one undertakes research, there are always those individuals
who either totally 'disappear' and no further records are discovered re them, or (as has
happened in the following instance) someone will suddenly appear and you don't know to
which family they are related!

Mary E. Powditch does not appear on any of my researched families, so I don't know (for the
moment) who she is related to.  Of course, there is one possibility, and that is, that at the time
of her marriage to William Kelly, she may have been the widow of a Powditch, but if that is the
case, then who had she been married to?  From the Powditch's who had been in India, none
appear to have been married to a Mary E. ...., so does anyone have any clues as to who she
was, and what happened to her?
