Other Notes (written c1984)
I was born in Santiago, Chile, South America, of British parents. My father was
a British Foreign Office military and security adviser in that country.

I later left Chile for England to join the Royal Air Force to complete my
National Service requirements. I served as an Aero Engineer Defects Investigator
and travelled, in that capacity, over most of the middle eastern countries. I later
married an English girl and by her had three children:

Andrew Robert Powditch
Paul Antony Powditch
Caroline Sarah Powditch

Andrew
is now 22 years old ( c1984) and is a Master of Science in
Bio-Chemistry, and is working at a leading hospital in
research into premature baby deaths.
He is married, and his wife, also qualified in the same
capacity, is doing similar research.
Paul
is now 20 years ( c1984) old and is in the process of
becoming a commercial artist.
Caroline
is now 18 years old (c1984)and will, in the next few months,
be joining a leading London hospital, where she will study
for four years in the hope of becoming a Physiotherapist.

When I left the Royal Air Force, I joined Rolls-Royce Ltd. in the capacity of a Fuel
Systems Development Engineer. Later I was asked to research fluid/dynamic/
electronic systems in fighter aircraft. This lead to extensive travelling commitments
all over Europe. Later I was to become a permanent Rolls-Royce representative in
Europe, mainly in Italy, Yugoslavia, Rumania and sometimes France. After seven
years in this post I returned to England and, realizing that promotion from my
position in that company would be very unlikely, I decided to enter business on
my own. This I did, but unfortunately, due to xxx xxxxxx, the economic situation
at that time and various other factors, I decided to lead a more leisurely life and
liquidated one company and kept the other. I now manage a small guest house,
which I find most enjoyable to do.
